Lessons of a Lifetime 2 DVD set

There are many training videos and Instructional DVD's on the market these days that promise to make you a better golfer, help you swing on plane, help with your tempo, blah, blah, blah..... However, I am thinking that a set of DVD's by an 8 time Major Championship winner, and World Golf Hall of famer might just cut it. Enter the Lessons of a Lifetime 2 disc DVD set from Tom Watson.

So, when you think of the golfing greats that have thrilled us over the years, one of my favorites has always been Tom Watson. Whether it be that chip in to win the US open over Jack Nicklaus on the 71st hole at Pebble Beach or, His 5 British Open wins. It could also be the fact that last year, he gave Stewart Cink a run for his money at Turnberry only losing after a 4 hole playoff. It may also be the memories of him and his friend and caddy Bruce Edwards who died in 2004 from ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease) which, by the way, a portion of the sales of these DVD's goes to help fund the research to end this awful, life ending disease. (So go buy them Now!) It could also be all of the above, who knows? I do know that the guy is a class act and has been a massive influence on many people in the golfing world, myself included.

Watson owes much of his great basic fundamentals to his father who, when Watson was only 6 years old, cut down an old Hickory Shafted club to fit him, His dad sent him on the road to success by teaching him the correct way to grip the club and how to work the ball left and right. He taught Tom all the basic fundamentals to get him started and he owes much of his success to sticking to the basics all these years.
