Ok, so let me get this straight; "V" grooves or "U" groves or ??? What are we supposed to be playing with these days? Well, if you are a touring Pro on any of the tours, good luck with the new "V" Grooves. However, here is something interesting -  the new "V-Sole" Wedges from Eidolon Golf.

Who? I hear you say. EIDOLON Golf is what I said! Sure they are not an everyday name in the "Big League" of golf club manufacturers but, like you have all heard me say before, just because a company can pay players millions of dollars in endorsements, doesn't mean to say that they are the only ones around! Not to be deterred, Terry kept thinking that the design and production of the "Wedge" was kind of getting left behind in the golf club design world. So, he decided to take a more serious look at them and came up with the "V-Sole" design and patented it. He has never looked back since. Terry says that EIDOLON GOLF are not trying to compete with the "big names" in wedges as it is clear that they have the majority of the market. However, he is insistent in making a wedge that will improve your game.

You see, Terry was getting frustrated at the fact that when he was playing his local course, he found that the turf was pretty hard and tight so a wedge with a high bounce didn't cut it. Also, when he found himself in the sand or rough, he needed that high bounce wedge. So, he designed the "V-Sole" wedge to address this dilemma. A wedge with 2 bounce angles so you can "dial" in and play the shot you need.

What I can tell you is that this wedge does actually do what EIDOLON claims. You can use it for differing lies and situations and adjust the bounce to what you need. We were sent a 60* Wedge by EIDOLON to test. The finish and quality of this wedge is awesome. Forget the big boys! Get some of these puppies! They come in a 48*, 52*, 56* and 60*. Think of this..... Did you get your Driver fitted for you? How about your Irons? Of course you did but I bet you bought your wedges off the rack didn't you? I rest my case your honor!
